3 Signs you have to leave your job!

You have a job to take the stress off and release any money worries while you’re starting your business (that’s just smart). Often, these jobs only widen the gap between where you are and where you want to go, turning you into an unhappy, resentful and frustrated person. This is very bad energy for client attraction, and only exacerbates your situation.

Coaches: It’s not your job to remove all suffering

I am guilty of it too: Feeling responsible to take away pain and ‘solve’ clients’ (or anyone you encounter) problems.

Where does this leave you at the end of the day (or teleseminar, coaching call, group program)? Unless people cooperate, implement and fully show up according to what you deem acceptable: overwhelmed and depleted at best, frustrated, angry and depressed at worst.

You can offer love, kindness, caring, but in the end others must make the choices that remove their pain…that isn’t your job. Your job is to listen, provide tools and strategies and keep them accountable. Do what you can to inspire, but do not attach your worth as a person (or value as a coach) to a clients results…in the end their results are up to them.

You provide the path to get to the door, but they must walk through it!

How happy people deal with fear

If everyone feels fear when approaching something totally new in life, yet so many out there are ‘doing it’ despite the fear, then we must conclude that fear is NOT the problem.

Susan Jeffers, ‘Feel The Fear and Do It Anyway’

As my wise mentor, Louise Hay (love her!) says, ‘The real issue is not the fear, but how we hold the fear.‘ Meaning, the fear is in your head (unless you are in physical danger right at this moment).

Once you realized it’s in your head, you can choose how you deal with it: from a position of power, or from a place of helplessness.

  • “I am a failure.” vs “I can do it.”
  • “I can’t afford it.” vs “I deserve to be happy and I will do what it takes.”
  • “Nothing ever works out.” vs “I am always going in the right direction.”

You can choose! You can choose! You can choose!

Take responsibility for your results. Learn how to identify your self sabotage and fearful thoughts AND learn strategies to manage them forever. How priceless is that? No more fear gettin’ in your way…

What’s your hurry?

“But Kim, I just don’t have enough time.”

Not enough timeI hear that a lot. I used to be the chief of that club…you know, the Not Enough Time club?

Then I realized a few things.

  1. I have as much time in a day as every other person on earth (24 hours).
  2. I actually waste A LOT of time doing useless stuff (like spending 3 hours on social media, or 2 hours trying to get a blog post perfect.)
  3. My priorities set my time, get my priorities straight and I will always have enough time to do what I want to.
  4. I choose HOW I use my time.
  5. What’s the hurry?

I had the belief that life was a race and that I had to get everything done BEFORE I could relax and be happy. In fact, until a few years ago, that song by Alabama, “I’m in a hurry,’ was my theme song.

“I rush and rush until life is no fun. All I really gotta do is live and die, but I’m in a hurry and don’t know why…”

Yep that was me.

Then I realized that my sense of urgency was from a place of fear. In fact, it was a HUGE limiting belief, that I had to ‘escape.’ I had to escape something I didn’t like, so I put a lot of pressure on myself to get away from it. Well that had the opposite effect, and then I beat myself up because I couldn’t get everything done. I was so busy ‘trying to get things done so I could live life’ that I wasn’t living life and it certainly wasn’t fun.

Then I looked closer and behind that limiting belief I saw fear.

Fear of missing out.

Fear of falling behind.

Fear of ‘not enough for me.’

And I realized that the person who sets the tone and pace of my life is ME. No one else. Not my coach. Not my spouse. Not my clients…ME.

And so I ask you NOT to do the same. Set a pace of life that fits you.

Don’t believe the hype that you will miss out on something and that you must hurry. If you feel a real calling to do something do, don’t get trapped in that fear ball either…but don’t do something soley for the reason that you *might* miss out.

There is more than enough.

There is an abundance of opportunity.

And you are just fine right as you are.

IF you feel the calling, I would love to have you join me for my next free teleseminar, The 9 Faces of Self Sabotage: Mindset Mastery. It’s on July 19th and will be packed full of jewels on identifying the underlying beliefs and fears that keep us stuck. You can learn more or register at http://kimberlyenglot.com/masterycall.

Lack or Abundance, you can’t have both.

If you believe in infinite abundance, you can’t complain about ‘not enough…’

Not enough clients

Not enough time

Not enough money

You cannot ‘believe’ in abundance and speak/act lack…they are not energetically compatible. So I ask you this:

Is your life abundant?

Look around, what do you see?

The person with an abundance mindset will see beauty everywhere. She’ll notice how the sun shines and the grass grows without her focusing on it…even if she has no designer shoes and rents an apartment on the wrong side of the tracks, she has an abundance mindset.

The person with a lack mentality will see poverty everywhere. She’ll notice how she is driving a car from 2008 and that she can’t afford to jet off to Fiji on a whim…even though she owns $25 000 in designer shoes and handbags and her car is a Bentley.

Those may be extreme examples, but where do you fit in? You can’t claim you believe in abundance and in the same breath demonstrate how little time you have to work on your business.

It just doesn’t work.

Don’t worry, it’s easy enough to change with a little knowledge and a lot of practice you can become the person who is abundance with Bentleys AND sunshine.

If you are ready to gain that knowledge and learn WHAT to practice, join me on July 19th for a Mindset Mastery call: The 9 Faces of Self Sabotage. It’s free.
