Success Tip: Live your own life

“A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote all his energy and talent to getting there. With enough effort, he may achieve it. Or he may find something that is even more rewarding. But in the end, no matter what the outcome, he will know he has been alive.”

Are you living someone else’s life?

You woke up this morning, looked at your To Do list and realized that not one single thing excites you. In fact, you’re ready to…

  1. …run for the hills and never return (and if it weren’t for your kids, you probably would). Or
  2. …climb back into bed and pull the covers over your head.

But you’re a good girl, so you get ready for the day…like it’s any other day. And inside you are silently screaming (or worse, completely dead), wishing something would change.

You’re living your life according to someone else’s definition of who you SHOULD be and how you SHOULD behave.

It only takes ONE Second for you to decide to live your life according to your dreams!

You can decide right now to grab the opportunity to design the life you deserve, according to YOU. You can identify the self-sabotage and limiting beliefs that are chaining you to your current circumstances and guaranteeing that you stay there.

It’s TIME for you to reach your potential and acknowledge that you’re destined for something BIG! You can exceed your expectations and live the life you are dreaming about (but hiding and not daring to tell anyone about).

Break throughs are nice, BUT…

You have finally found the solution to your problem! If you just do XYZ, ABC will be fixed!

Your coaching business is at a stand-still. You haven’t signed a new client in months, and your emergency fund is down to pennies. You’re panicked and desperate and the more you TRY, the harder it seems. You’re at the point where you are so afraid to express excitement over something (because you can’t take any more disappointment) that you just want to give up completely and get a j.o.b. Read more

What’s your hurry?

“But Kim, I just don’t have enough time.”

Not enough timeI hear that a lot. I used to be the chief of that club…you know, the Not Enough Time club?

Then I realized a few things.

  1. I have as much time in a day as every other person on earth (24 hours).
  2. I actually waste A LOT of time doing useless stuff (like spending 3 hours on social media, or 2 hours trying to get a blog post perfect.)
  3. My priorities set my time, get my priorities straight and I will always have enough time to do what I want to.
  4. I choose HOW I use my time.
  5. What’s the hurry?

I had the belief that life was a race and that I had to get everything done BEFORE I could relax and be happy. In fact, until a few years ago, that song by Alabama, “I’m in a hurry,’ was my theme song.

“I rush and rush until life is no fun. All I really gotta do is live and die, but I’m in a hurry and don’t know why…”

Yep that was me.

Then I realized that my sense of urgency was from a place of fear. In fact, it was a HUGE limiting belief, that I had to ‘escape.’ I had to escape something I didn’t like, so I put a lot of pressure on myself to get away from it. Well that had the opposite effect, and then I beat myself up because I couldn’t get everything done. I was so busy ‘trying to get things done so I could live life’ that I wasn’t living life and it certainly wasn’t fun.

Then I looked closer and behind that limiting belief I saw fear.

Fear of missing out.

Fear of falling behind.

Fear of ‘not enough for me.’

And I realized that the person who sets the tone and pace of my life is ME. No one else. Not my coach. Not my spouse. Not my clients…ME.

And so I ask you NOT to do the same. Set a pace of life that fits you.

Don’t believe the hype that you will miss out on something and that you must hurry. If you feel a real calling to do something do, don’t get trapped in that fear ball either…but don’t do something soley for the reason that you *might* miss out.

There is more than enough.

There is an abundance of opportunity.

And you are just fine right as you are.

IF you feel the calling, I would love to have you join me for my next free teleseminar, The 9 Faces of Self Sabotage: Mindset Mastery. It’s on July 19th and will be packed full of jewels on identifying the underlying beliefs and fears that keep us stuck. You can learn more or register at http://kimberlyenglot.com/masterycall.

Lack or Abundance, you can’t have both.

If you believe in infinite abundance, you can’t complain about ‘not enough…’

Not enough clients

Not enough time

Not enough money

You cannot ‘believe’ in abundance and speak/act lack…they are not energetically compatible. So I ask you this:

Is your life abundant?

Look around, what do you see?

The person with an abundance mindset will see beauty everywhere. She’ll notice how the sun shines and the grass grows without her focusing on it…even if she has no designer shoes and rents an apartment on the wrong side of the tracks, she has an abundance mindset.

The person with a lack mentality will see poverty everywhere. She’ll notice how she is driving a car from 2008 and that she can’t afford to jet off to Fiji on a whim…even though she owns $25 000 in designer shoes and handbags and her car is a Bentley.

Those may be extreme examples, but where do you fit in? You can’t claim you believe in abundance and in the same breath demonstrate how little time you have to work on your business.

It just doesn’t work.

Don’t worry, it’s easy enough to change with a little knowledge and a lot of practice you can become the person who is abundance with Bentleys AND sunshine.

If you are ready to gain that knowledge and learn WHAT to practice, join me on July 19th for a Mindset Mastery call: The 9 Faces of Self Sabotage. It’s free.

Don’t Bargain with your dreams.

  • Do you settle for ‘good enough’ in areas that are really important to you?
  • Do you tolerate not having the right support, the right equipment or the right tools to run your business?
  • Do you spend hours working on your own website when you don’t know what you’re doing (and end up wasting hours because you’ve messed something up.)
  • Do you blurt out ‘I can’t afford it’ before you even hear what the offer is? Is this your go-to excuse?
  • Do you want ‘big’ but play small?

You are settling for a Bargain Basement life if you do. Really.

This is your dream we’re talking about. Your dream for freedom, for fun, for excitement. Your dream for working fewer hours and making more money. Your dream for making a difference in people’s lives and inspiring others to follow their dreams.

So why are you allowing the bargaining to begin in the first place?

Don’t give me that money excuse. We all know that anything you’ve ever truly needed, you’ve FOUND the money for…even if it mean borrowing from your Great Aunt Ida. Money is an excuse so quit using it.

Have you created a dream that doesn’t fit anymore?

Maybe you’ve given up on the dream all together.

Whatever the answer, you’re damaging your spirit when you settle for the best fitting dream with a sales sticker on it.

Get to the root of why you think you need to settle. Join me on July 19th for my next free teleseminar: The 9 Faces of Self Sabotage: Mindset Mastery.
