Weekly Authentic Life Checklist

This was an email sent to me early this week. Makes a great blog post I think! Definitely things to think about. (I especially like #8, 21, 30 & 36). Think of this as a weekly checklist for the creation of a great 2010!

HANDBOOK 2010

Health:
1.       Drink plenty of water.
2.       Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3.       Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that    is manufactured in plants..
4.       Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5.       Make time to pray.
6.       Play more games
7.       Read more books than you did in 2009 .
8.       Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9.       Sleep for 7 hours.
10.    Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

Personality:
11.    Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12.    Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13.    Don’t over do. Keep your limits.
14.    Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15.    Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
16.    Dream more while you are awake
17.    Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
18.    Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19.    Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.
20.    Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
21.    No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22.    Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.  Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23.    Smile and laugh more.
24.    You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree…

Society:
25.    Call your family often.
26.    Each day give something good to others.
27.    Forgive everyone for everything..
28.    Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of  6.
29.    Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30.    What other people think of you is none of your business.
31.    Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
32.    Do the right thing!
33.    Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
34.    GOD heals everything.
35.    However good or bad a situation is, it will change..
36.    No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37.    The best is yet to come..
38.    When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39.    Your Inner most self is always happy. So, be happy.

Authentic Self Tip #3 — My Secret is out of the bag

After a lot of contemplation (ok, not really ;-) ) I have decided to let you know my #1 secret for being so darn happy all the time, as well as how I have become wealthier and healthier too.potofgold

It’s actually really, really simple but here it is: I follow the actions of people who are already successful, happy, healthy and wealthy. That’s it.

  • I read A LOT! (a book a week — all to do with success, wealth and happiness)
  • I listen and participate in every free teleseminar that I can get my hands on
  • I am on at least 10 newsletter lists (and I actually read them). They always offer great articles and insight into the successful mindset
  • I read a lot of articles recommended by my Facebook friends and people I follow on Twitter
  • I watch video blogs on success
  • I invest in myself. I invest in my happiness, health and success because I value myself. I’m not spending money selfishly, I am investing in my future happiness.

That is my action plan. I also have my own coach and an accountability partner, as well as a new mastermind coming up. I completely surround myself with success. That has forced me to check my mindset, change my perspective and grow immensely (it takes a lot of growth to keep up with successful people!).

If I had to choose just one thing that expanded my growth like nothing else (and I don’t like to share it with people) it was a program on the Law of Attraction that I participated in. Talk about opening up my mind to possibilities!

So the cat is out of the bag — I spend 70% of my time getting other people’s opinions, ideas and thoughts. This doesn’t mean that I agree with everything, but it definitely gets my mind working and my spirit growing. I have two great resources for you (my so-called “secrets”) one you pay for (small amount compared to what you get) and one is completely FREE! Both have helped me to live a happy, healthy and wealthy life by listening to my authentic self!  Check both out:

  1. http://www.awakenedmillionairesecrets.com/ This is 100 % Free. It’s a video blog series from Joe Vitale (from The Secret)
  2. http://www.kimberlyenglot.com/resources This is where I posted a small introduction to the Wealth Beyond Reason program with Bob Doyle (also from The Secret).

ps- I know you might be tempted to say you don’t have time. I feel that way too once in a while…but then I catch myself and think “Do I really NOT have time to be success, happy, healthy and wealthy?” I think I can always find time for that!

Discover Your Authentic Self

Video #2

Last night I got really inspired to create a video. So I did. I was my regular, authentic self on a Sunday night. I didn’t do my hair. I didn’t change out of my university sweatshirt. I did do something that I was passionate about–talk about the authentic self!!! You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to do it!

Health & Wellness III

This is another item from my Authentic Life Checklist in the Health & Wellness Section:

I don’t have a lot of stress in my life.

Stress is a killer for an authentic life. Stress is a huge sign or symptom, of an unbalanced life. Unbalanced equals unauthentic. Why are you stressed? What areas are you stressed? Is it internal circumstances or reactions that you can control, or is it completely external which you can let go of? You can control your reactionto the stressor. If you get stressed because you’re stuck in traffic, you can control your reaction to getting stuck in traffic. You cannot control the fact that you’re there. Recognize that you’re somewhere you don’t want to be but that feeling upset will not get you out of traffic. The reason for the traffic backup doesn’t care that you’re irritated. So be aware of this and then settle in for awhile. Take the time to call your mom, or do some thinking or philosophize about life. Listen to some great music. A great plan would be to have some personal development books or audio books in your car for exactly that moment; you can learn and grow while sitting in your car. Use the opportunity to learn something, or simply relax. Don’t get yourself wound up of external circumstances; you’ll end up giving yourself a heart attack. That’s just one example, I’m sure you can think of something in your life that you are stressed over and either can control the reaction by acknowledging the situation is what it is, or you can’t control the situation and have to let it be, anyway!
