Start from New
So stop trying to fix what you already have, and just start from “new.” You can begin right now.
Time to get out your journal, or 2 pieces of paper.
On one sheet of paper write down everything that you are resentful, angry or feeling “blah” about. This is stuff you need to release (for your spirit’s sake). Forgiveness does wonders for your life (just remember that it isn’t about being okay with what happened or the other person. It is about allowing yourself to let it be.)
If you are really stuck, and want to release these feelings, try the Sedona Method (http://www.sedona.com/the-four-ways-of-releasing-surrender.aspx). It’s 4 simple questions that will help you to determine if you’re ready to let go, and then guide you through it.
Be patient with yourself. It might take some effort for you purge these feelings from your life.
Once you’re done that, write down everything you want for the new year. Be sure to stretch yourself a little so that you grow. Goals that scare you a little (in a good, excited kind of way) are perfect growth accelerators. Don’t worry about the HOW part quite yet, just have some fun writing things down.
That’s it. If you want a more advanced version, you can continue with the exercise by burning the first sheet with all of the things you want to release on it. As you burn it (safely in a fire place or pit, or some sort of vessel meant for fire), repeat your intention to release those things. Note how good you feel when the paper has burned.
With the goals for your 2010 year, create a Wish Box.
Find a box with a lid (like a photo box) that you can use just for you. I found one at the Dollar Store for $2.
Label it: My 2010 Wish Box
On the underside of the lid (so no one can see) write:
This or something better, from a place of love and caring, for the best circumstances for me and everyone involved. And so it is.
That statement sets up the intention that your goals/manifestations will come from a place of love, not destruction. (ie: walking onto a car lot, and easily negotiating the exact car you want vs getting rear ended and fighting with the insurance company for months before getting paid so you can buy your new car).
Then write each of your goals or wishes on a recipe card. Detail it out, as precisely as possible. Note how you want to feel when you receive it.
Place it in your wish box with the intention of receiving it easily, and by knowing exactly the next step you need to take to receive it.
Do that wish each of your goals, and then keep it up with any new goals you think of through out the year. Keep the box in an honored place (not somewhere with it just collected dust or dirt or can get damaged). Think of how you treat this box, as how you treat your goals. Cherish it and respect it.
I adapted the Wish Box exercise from a favorite of mine in the book:Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires by Jerry and Esther Hicks.
Release the old, cherish the new!
Want to use this in your eZine or on your blog? That’s fine as long as you don’t alter it in any way and include the following:

Effortless but not without effort
This is Part 2 of Monday’s Blog on Standard Transmissions and Learning.
I talked about the 4 stages of learning: Unconscious Unknown, Conscious Unknown, Conscious Known and Unconscious Known. Realize that these learning states apply to absolutely everything in life. At one point you had to learn it before it became a habit. You had to practice and over time you got good at it.
I find using these 4 stages particularly helpful when I talk about being happy, using the Law of Attraction, living in the moment or being authentic. Somewhere along the way, you discovered that life can be different! You don’t have to just keep trudging along as you are now. The moment you figured that out, you entered the Conscious Unknown stage. You knew you could be different, you just didn’t know HOW yet.
So you joined a class, read a book or purchased a program to show you the way. This is when you entered the Conscious Known stage. And Assuming that you picked a decent “teacher” you discovered the HOW and the WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.
Here is the problem though. You can’t just read one book, or go to one teleseminar and then complain when things aren’t going your way. That is the same as going to one piano lesson and then giving up when you don’t sound like Mozart. It take practice. It’s the exact same as when I was learning to drive my standard. I completely immersed myself…I created an environment where I HAD to succeed…and I enlisted a teacher.
The same needs to happen for you to succeed. Don’t just do something once and then claim that it doesn’t work.
I hear this a LOT, “Oh, the Law of Attraction doesn’t work for me. It always gives me the opposite.” No it doesn’t. It gives you exactly what you’re asking for, you just need more practice being aware of what you’re really asking.
“Oh. I tried living in the moment, and I just end up getting pulled back into worry and guilt.” How long did you practice? A week? A year? Once? This stuff takes practice!
“I want to find my authentic self, but every time I try, someone accuses me of being selfish.” Yep. That is there plan to keep you doing what they want you to, which is keep them happy. You have to practice. Daily…not whenever you feel like it.
This stuff is like exercise. If you want to build muscle or gain flexibility or run a marathon, you don’t just go to the gym periodically, you go 5 times a week. You work at it, celebrate your successes and usually enlist a buddy to help you stay on track. Why would life be any different?
So if you want to access the Highly Advanced Level 3 (Conscious Knowing) or even Level 4 (Unconscious knowing…for example, happiness) then you have to put some effort in.
If you joined us for my Discover Your Authentic Life tele-series, you had access to learn all of these things. If you grabbed a Platinum Package you are able to practice this stuff daily. You also would have hear several of the experts talk about effort. Happiness, success, wealth…all of those are “Effortless, but not without effort.” If you practice, take time for yourself, invest in your personal growth you can easily gain more happiness, health and wealth. That is the missing piece of the puzzle.
You can’t just read a book or two, attend a few teleseminars and then sit back and expect stuff to happen. If you know anything about the Law of Atttraction beyond The Secret, then you know that THAT is NOT how it Works!
There are hundreds (actually thousands!) of people out there willing to help you. I am one of them, but it doesn’t have to be me.
Honestly, if you truly want to succeed, you will.
Authentic Self Tip #3 — My Secret is out of the bag
After a lot of contemplation (ok, not really
) I have decided to let you know my #1 secret for being so darn happy all the time, as well as how I have become wealthier and healthier too.
It’s actually really, really simple but here it is: I follow the actions of people who are already successful, happy, healthy and wealthy. That’s it.
- I read A LOT! (a book a week — all to do with success, wealth and happiness)
- I listen and participate in every free teleseminar that I can get my hands on
- I am on at least 10 newsletter lists (and I actually read them). They always offer great articles and insight into the successful mindset
- I read a lot of articles recommended by my Facebook friends and people I follow on Twitter
- I watch video blogs on success
- I invest in myself. I invest in my happiness, health and success because I value myself. I’m not spending money selfishly, I am investing in my future happiness.
That is my action plan. I also have my own coach and an accountability partner, as well as a new mastermind coming up. I completely surround myself with success. That has forced me to check my mindset, change my perspective and grow immensely (it takes a lot of growth to keep up with successful people!).
If I had to choose just one thing that expanded my growth like nothing else (and I don’t like to share it with people) it was a program on the Law of Attraction that I participated in. Talk about opening up my mind to possibilities!
So the cat is out of the bag — I spend 70% of my time getting other people’s opinions, ideas and thoughts. This doesn’t mean that I agree with everything, but it definitely gets my mind working and my spirit growing. I have two great resources for you (my so-called “secrets”) one you pay for (small amount compared to what you get) and one is completely FREE! Both have helped me to live a happy, healthy and wealthy life by listening to my authentic self! Check both out:
- http://www.awakenedmillionairesecrets.com/ This is 100 % Free. It’s a video blog series from Joe Vitale (from The Secret)
- http://www.kimberlyenglot.com/resources This is where I posted a small introduction to the Wealth Beyond Reason program with Bob Doyle (also from The Secret).
ps- I know you might be tempted to say you don’t have time. I feel that way too once in a while…but then I catch myself and think “Do I really NOT have time to be success, happy, healthy and wealthy?” I think I can always find time for that!
