Unhappiness is so uncomfortable! So why do so many choose it?
I confess. I am a spoiled, rotten brat!
Let me explain…
A couple of weeks ago I was irritated for no reason. In fact, I was sitting on the coach and I must have had a serious look on my face because my husband asked what was wrong.
And I couldn’t give him an answer. I just said, “I don’t know. Nothing…at all. Nothing happened to day to cause me to feel a bit down. Didn’t have any unpleasant experiences, no arguments with family, or friends. No catastrophe.”
And then it clicked (and I thought it out loud)
I’m so used to being really happy, that when I’m just so-so, I feel really depressed!
I’m spoiled rotten with happiness vibes!
Do you know what that feels like? Chock it up to being my own fault! A couple of years ago, I didn’t know what it felt like to feel good, or be happy. So minor depression and anxiety was part of life for me. In fact, I probably had the opposite problem, where I thought something must be wrong if I was happy!
Now, after practice and deliberate focus on feeling good, I’ve gone and spoiled myself with happiness ! Which means that when I step “outside the vortex” (have disconnected from my authentic self, or am feeling a bit blah) I REALLY feel it.
It really affects me, where as normal people probably wouldn’t notice!
Now I want you to know that I am NOT complaining. I think this is one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I have moved past the barrier of existing, and am actually conscious and aware and living my life. And it feels really good.
Even being “outside the vortex” isn’t that bad, once I reframed it to see how the contrast allows me to be happy. That is, without contrast, you can’t tell if you’re happy or not. Which is what I was feelings years ago. So if you don’t know what it feels like to be happy, there is a major problem!
It could have something to do with your life circumstances, your relationships, your job or just a flood of “bad thinking” the is holding you there. No more! It’s uncomfortable AND unnecessary! Why are you choosing this over happiness?
Think on that for a while. And if you discover the answer and need some support (or need clarity and an outside perspective possible factors), let me know! With the Life Cleanse over, my schedule has opened up space for individual happiness & harmony boosters (1 hour single sessions with me..at a really insane rate of only $127 (I normally charge $250 per hour, but I’m feeling generous and this isn’t about the money for me!)).

Your Story is keeping you unhappy
by Kimberly Englot
Sometimes you hold onto pain, suffering or your victim story out of fear. Who are you if you let this go? You’ve held on so tightly for so long, that is has become your identity. And so to let it go can be frightening.
What will happen if you let it go?
Who will you really be?
It is in this fear and self-doubt that you are more likely to resist being happy, in exchange for your victim story. It is easier to continue with the known evil, instead of exchange it for a possible unknown evil.
I challenge you to replace your “known evil” with the possibility of happiness. Open up your authentic self, take a risk to expose it, and let freedom and happiness be yours. You don’t need to fight it. Just let it be.
Release that victim story, even if you think it defines you. Do you really want that to be your identify? It’s also the main thing keeping you unhappy.
